The Orthopedic Surgery team at Almana Hospital – Khobar achieved a notable medical milestone with the successful completion of a complex surgical procedure on a four-year-old child diagnosed with bilateral developmental hip dislocation, accompanied by femoral head deformity and bilateral femoral neck angulation.
The procedure was led by Dr. Ibrahim Alibrahim, Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon. The medical team explained that such surgeries are typically performed at around one year of age, making the success of this procedure at a later stage a reflection of the team’s advanced expertise and clinical proficiency.
The surgery was completed successfully, and the patient showed a positive recovery outcome, supported by seamless coordination among the Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesia, and Nursing teams within a multidisciplinary care framework.
