In a recent case referred from the Oncology Service, the Rapid Stroke Response protocol was activated immediately upon arrival at the Emergency Department. Close coordination between the Emergency, Neurology, and Neurointervention teams enabled rapid assessment and seamless decision-making without delay.
The Neurointervention team, led by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Abdulwahab and Dr. Mohammed Al-Watban, successfully performed the procedure with high precision and without complications. The patient was subsequently discharged home in stable condition.
This case highlights the direct impact of a rapid stroke response system in improving patient outcomes by reducing time to treatment and strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration within an integrated care model.
