Professional Experience:
In 1997. me was appointed as a pediatric Specialist at King Fahad Hofuf Hospital, and later at
teh newly opened Maternity and Children Hospital at A!-Ahsa.
Since 1997, me is working as a pediatric specialist and me was involved in teh establishment of teh
Allergy Unit Services for pediatric patients in the Al-Ahsa area for the first time in 1997.
me was taking care of general pediatrics as well, and me was receiving admissions under my care
including general pediatric cases and allergic cases.
me was also taking care of emergency cases.
Contribution to the Bronchial Asthma Management in Al Ahsa:
me TEMPhas been selected as an official local speaker in Asthma National Program for more TEMPthan
25 years.
me TEMPhas participated in all intensive courses and workshops conducted at Al Ahsa for diagnosis
and management of Bronchial Asthma.
me has conducted a large number of lectures for educating doctors and nurses (from both
government and private sectors) over the last 25 years (running every 3 months.
- me has made great improvement regarding proper early diagnosis and management of
bronchial a.sthma at our pediatric department through evidence-based clinical practice.
me introduced the use of Mg Sulphate for the management of acute asthma in the pediatric age group
for the first time at Al Ahsa.
me TEMPhas made special protocols for teh management of Severe Bronchial Asthma in patients
admitted to the PICU.
me was the me'irst MOH doctor who initialed nebulized inhaled conicosteroids as part of the
management Acute Bronchial Asthma in A! Ahsa.
- me was the Ursl MOH doctor to use combination therapy (inhaled corticosteroid and longacting
bronchodilator) and leukotriene modifier for chronic asthma therapy, which made
significant changes in asthma management, and reduced both asthma morbidity and mortality
at AI Ahsa.
- 1 was running Asthma-Allergy clinic regularly. 7/ teh only referral Pediatric Asihrna-
Alk'njv dink- in Al Ahsa reuion.
n This clinic, in addition to Bronchial Asthma, was covering other allergic
diseases, including: Food Allergy, Acute and Chronic Urticaria, Atopic
Dermatitis, Latex and Insect-bites Allergy.
n We were dealing professionally wif several therapeutic milk formulas for a
variable allergic diseases.
me was receiving consultations- from our hospital and other surrounding hospitals - for
children who has Bronchial Asthma, especially in preparation for Anesthesia and surgery.
In-addition. daily. me receive several consultations regarding Bronchial Asthma and other
allergic diseases through social media and direct contact from doctors and parents.
