General Orthopaedics

Includes common orthopaedic problems of upper and lower limbs

Orthopedic : Trauma Surgery

Comprises all limb fractures that require surgical or non-surgical treatment. As well as a variety of external fixators for complicated fractures in both children and adults, the hospital is equipped to facilitate sophisticated surgical procedures and excellent management of difficult fractures such as pelvic, acetabulum and calcaneus (heel bone) fractures.
Joint Replacement

This revolutionary surgery has enhanced the quality of life for those suffering from Osteoarthritis of hip or knee.

Hand Surgery

A specialized surgery addressing

• all forms of hand problems: - bone, tendons, skin, nerves and joint disorders due to:

o Congenital problems
o trauma

Spine Surgery

A subspecialty for:

• Problems of vertebral column from neck to lower spine
• Prolapsed vertebral and cervical discs
• Spinal deformities e.g. Scoliosis

Limb Reconstruction

• A relatively new specialty offered in few hospitals nationally.
• It attempts to restore function to severely damaged limbs from trauma or congenital deformities.
• It helps to lengthen short bones.

Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopies

Arthroscopies are used mainly for investigation and surgery especially of knees and shoulders.

Through this method we address:

• Sports injuries
• Meniscal (knee cartilage) repair or excision
• Remove loose bodies e.g. in osteoarthritis
• Decompression of subacromial space of shoulder
• recurrent shoulder dislocation
• Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
• Rotator cuff tears
