Orthopedic

MISSION:

To provide better treatment via the best possible treatment- modalities on par with excellence and international standards and development. To ensure early rehabilitation at low cost and short hospital stay.

To be one of the best Orthopedic Departments by promoting continuous education and regular development to achieve perfection in acquiring effective techniques and interventions.

The Department of Orthopedics is sincerely committed to provide quality treatment to all patients according to their unique needs with special care for geriatric and pediatric cases

The Department of Orthopedics is steadfast in providing quality treatment, excellent care combined with teamwork in the service of our people.

We provide 24 hours orthopedic cover and have female and male orthopedic inpatient wards. The 3 out patient clinics are run by two (2) very experience Consultants and a Specialist.

The majority of our patients are adults. We also manage pediatric services.
Our Orthopedic Services include but are not limited to:

1. Arthoscopic Surgery – Diagnostic and Surgical Procedure:

• Ankle
• Elbow
• Hip
• Wrist

 2. Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery:

• DD
• 2.2 Open Reduction of CDH
• Pelvic Osteotomy
• Corrective Osteotomy
• Talipes Equinovarus deformity management
• Cerebral palsy
• Cerebral palsy – limb deformity management
• Leg lengthening – limb length inequality
• Foot disorders – complex foot surgery 

3. Tumor Surgery – Soft Tissue, Bone, Tumor

• Simple excision
• Curettage with bone graft
• Amputation
• Limb Salvage Procedures

4. Joint Replacement

• Hip Hemiarthrosplasty
• Hip Bipolar Replacement
• Total Hip Arthroplasty
• Total Knee, Arthroplasty unicompartemental

 5. Spinal Surgery

• Standard laminectomy discectomy
• Multiple level extensive decompression for spinal stenosis
• Surgical management of spondylolisthesis
• Cervical Spine: Management of fractures and/or dislocation
• Cervical Spine: Anterior fusion with or without internal fixation
• Cervical Spine: Posterior fusion with or without internal fixation
• Thoraco-lumbar Spine: Management of fracture and/or dislocation
• Thoraco-lumbar Spine: Anterior fusion with or without fixation
• Thoraco-lumbar Spine: Posterior fusion with or without fixation
• Nerve conduction studies

 6. Hand Surgery

• Congenital hand problems
• Peripheral nerve conditions
• endon Repair and/or Reconstruction
• Fracture fixation
• Ligament repair
• Amputations, part of digit, or ray amputation
• Skin grafts, and flaps

 7. Trauma Cases

• All types of fractures including spine
• Muscles & Tendon injuries
• Compartment syndrome
• Nerve injuries
• Non Union, Malunion

Hours of Operation:

Saturday - Tuesday (08:00 am - 12:00 pm & 04:00 pm - 09:00 pm)
Wednesday (08:00 am - 12:00 pm & 04:00 pm - 08:00 pm)
Thursday (0800 am- 1200 pm only)

Note: (On-call services 24 hours a day / 7 days a week)
