Mission:

 To serve the community of AGH-J in their health care needs by providing the highest quality care with outstanding values and superior customer service.  This will be achieved through ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of quality control methods appropriate to each section; testing performed efficiently and accurately by using advanced procedures with continuous evaluation and revision, and using modern technology by trained staff combined with the traditions of caring, privacy and compassion.

Scope and Services:
I - Definitions:

Scope of services is all the daily available laboratory services provided to meet patients’ needs that are readily available and test required for emergencies after normal hours.
Collection medium is the proper medium to be used for each test.
Turn-around times (TAT): are the times needed to generate the results.

II – Policy Statement:

This policy contains a list of all available laboratory services performed in AGH-Jubail laboratory with the collection medium and Turn-around times, to be known and adhere to beside where the unavailable tests are performed.

III – Purpose & Scope:

To inform all hospital staff and customers about services in the laboratory, and what tubes to use to collect samples, and the time needed to get the results. 

IV – Procedures & Responsibilities :

DEPARTMENT HOURS:

The Clinical Laboratory provides services seven (7) days a week, 24 hours a day covering emergency orders of physicians all around the clock.

LOCATION: 

Ground Floor, Zone 10, between OPD & ICU opposite to Radiology department.

Saturday - Tuesday (08:00 am - 12:00 pm & 04:00 pm - 09:00 pm)
Wednesday (08:00 am - 12:00 pm & 04:00 pm - 08:00 pm)
Thursday (0800 am- 1200 pm only)

Note: (On-call services 24 hours a day / 7 days a week)
