Accident and Emergency Services

Emergency care is provided for all patients requiring immediate medical care and other interventions. It is designed as the place for life-threatening individual or very serious injuries or illnesses which consist of newborn, pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients requiring or seeking immediate medical care.

• Trauma /Cardiac Room
• An observation bay
• We have on site a fully equipped Crash Cart in readiness for cardiac arrest situations and an Emergency Code Blue team that immediately responds to Code Blue calls.
• The ER Doctors and Nurses are all trained in Basic Life Support , most with Advanced Cardiac Life Support and doctors who have Advanced Trauma Life Support certification.
• There is 24 hours Consultant on call covering each specialty . A polytrauma Team is continuously in readiness and radiological and laboratory services are available around the clock.
• The in - house on - call Operating Room team immediately responds to all emergency situations out of working hours.
• There are four (3) ambulances always ready to attend any emergencies.
• Some of our Nurses have attended an advanced midwifery course. Others are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• We have a portable incubator , delivery bed and warmer in readiness for any emergency delivery.
